Is it me, or everyone is a camper in this game. I know my "Rambo" style of playing dosen't really help a lot, cause I will go and shoot till I'm dead, but lateley I've noticed lots of campers. Peeps that will not even bother to get out of the spawn and just shoot from there, or throw a/s, or even nades from the spawn. Or peeps that will hide behind boxes to look for the back to shoot. Is this like been happening always, or this is a new thing. I really hate peeps that will be camping and hiding just to cheer when they kill me. What is the fun in that. You just made yourself have an advantaje in the situation, for me the best kills/deths are always in a duel. One vs one, shooting at each other. Maybe I'm wrong, or maybe I have to change the way I play, but to me, sometimes, this game will just frustrate me instead of giving me fun. And it's mainly cause I always put myself in a situation where i have 4+ enemies vs me and well i get killed. Once Ken told me to wait... "Dude you are the medic, you should go last" I replied, "Dude noone goes. If I wait for everyone I'll be there the whole game, camping, waiting for the campers to move forward". I can remember at least 50 times I have gone tunnels alone, axis elev, and gun to get killed, just to hear "Dynamite Planted" while I am respawning. Cool I cleared the path But I'm Dead I would like your opinion, cause maybe it's me and my "Mexican Pilot Going Down" way of playing that frustrates me... Mav

I know how you feel, Sergio. It sucks when you're the medic, and your team just sits there. It tends to bring out the Rambo in all of us when that happens. But Ken is right about going last if you're the medic. You're the only way people are getting back up should they die. Patience is key most of the time. You can't always be 'Roger Ramjet-Combat Medic'. If you want to go 1st and clear the path, be a soldier, and come find me or another medic to back you up as you clear the path. Regardless of what class you play as, you MUST run in groups with at least 1 of each class to do 'textbook operations'. This is what makes you proud to function as a group. It doesn't do you any good to run solo all the way to the gun, killing everything in your path, only to be left alone wishing you were now an engineer. This game (RtCW) is designed for teamwork, and if no one is doing the teamwork thing, then it gets very frustrating. This is when we start going into Rambo mode and getting killed before we can do our job, which leads to getting pissed off, and disconnecting. You can't control what people are going to do in an online game. Some nights, people work as a team, and you have a fun time playing. Other nights, people are not working together, and this is where I say "screw it", and I leave for a while. Just sayin'... -SiN

by reading 'textbook operations', I got some good memories of when, way back on BiA, we used to play as a team, either on Tank (THE BEST MAP EVER) and on that other map with the underground facility where there were tunnels and all(can't remember the name LOL). When we wanted to 'play for real', no one could stop us. I always enjoyed playing engineer on those maps, and the team was: 2 soldiers and one lieutenant on lead scout, the engineer, a medic and another soldier with a heavy gun covering our asses. Man, those days are the best gaming days I remember. Lately I've been playing as LT, coz it is fun too (gotta love the smoke grenades). I never cared about getting high scores or anything, but I always ended up scoring good, by playing as a team (either on RtCW, ET, CoD (all of them) or America's Army (one of my favorites on 'team work'). Anyways, just my 2 cents.

Finding people who are able to work together as a team is a stroke of luck.. I've played in real dream-teams, but most of the time, i find myself to do battle alone. Furthermore, players should be aware of the class they play, and also to follow the right priority of the moment.. I mean, for instance: It is rather silly to hand out ammo as an lt. to your teammates, while you'd better airstrike an objective because your engineers just planted at that objective. (If you are in the neighborhood of that objective of course). And so many players misuse their medic-class to play Rambo, without concerning about their teammates. If you are "lucky", you get a revive, but you can forget about getting medikits after that. The best thing you can do, is to join the team with the best team-players, and hope for the best, lol.. Finally we have to realize that there are many new players around these days.. You should be a bit patient with them, because they really have no clue what to do, and what their role is in the game. and on that other map with the underground facility where there were tunnels and all(can't remember the name LOL). POW Escape Rules! But unfortunatly, they say (admins) that map is too big, and not enough players for it etc etc...

Team Work is all this game is about. Having members take a role as offensive or defensive roles is vital to winning or getting planted on. I'm not going to go into details its pretty simple as far as I'm concerned. I realize there are new players as Hans pointed out. And I try to help the new players whenever I can. I personally like days when I'm in the teamwork mode because I know I do better, teamwork is what causes this, then there are days that I may be working on accuracy shooting at certain key places in the map and I'm not too concerned about playing as a team. Then there's times I like to spectate other players an see there style. So with the many different styles, moods, & beliefs on how the game should be played its a wonder a good team gets together at all. And as far as the maps go, I think a map rotation with simple stock maps, I.E. Village, Submarine etc... would add a flavor to the server that would be welcome. There comes a time when an entity must grow an change....

No, it's not just you. This is what I was trying to say. We all do it LOL...(some a little more then others) My post to you was simply an explaination as to what we as medics SHOULD be doing. It was never meant to single you out, but more of a reminder to all of us. Look at the posts above. Hans is running around alone, looking for a dream team. And then we have Bryce running around shooting at cat shit on key parts of the map perfecting his aim. Last night, I got so tired of no teamwork, I turned into a one man gang, only to become the redheaded stepchild for the Axis to slap around... We are guilty of it too... Teamwork is the key to a great gaming experience in this game, and when we get away from it, and go around solo, we are defeating our own purpose.

Yeah I think playing in the front and trying to kill everyone is not what the makers of the game wanted, and it has been the reason I still play this game. It's fun thou, till you get pansered by 4 peeps at the same time, I have had like 10 chances of getting a demo of me crouching in the last box of the train garage, and when I get out I see 4 tubes towards me, man that would be a great footage. I actually like to go behind boxes in yard to get campers up hill, I try to get them busy and not camp the gun by camping the Mexican, and gives time for a plant, or a run, and not get pansered all the time while trying to get to the stairs... At least tubes are pointing towards the Mexican I'm also guilty of reviving and not giving med's, but usually I end up killing the dude that killed the dude I revive, or killed by him. I guess playing as a Med spoils you and you end up thinking everyone will get health with some time. I'll try to change that. It's still a fun game, but the teamwork has decreased with time. You have to go to HellsGate to see teamwork. Althou in HPC sometimes team is just great and winning is easy... Lateley I've been getting high pings before 9 PM CT and makes impossible to play, and now that my schedule is untill 12, well it's hard to get good teams sometimes. The truth is I love rushing peeps till I get killed, thats why it's my fault, but when a good team is formed, I must be honest and say it's even funner... Hans has always been right, this game will never die, like Quake never did, Hopefully RTCW2 will not be the same thing ET was for me, a wierd game my PC couldn't run in the time it was released, so I never got hooked with it. But to tell you the truth, they will ave to work very hard to make a better game than RTCW, I think it will be impossible, but I am willing to see... Mav

I know exactly what you mean. You can go out, find a route to the gun but get killed by the same person in the same place every single time!!
But we all can be campers, agreed? Think of the defence, someone with a panzer on the boxes etc. But my role on defence on axis is running around the elev, not set up with my tent and campfire in one place like Seeyoh. I like to move, its more fair for other people too! On offence, I bet you all know this but I am a kamakazie(sp?) killer. I just go for it, suicide actually lol!
If everyone were to run around like headless chickens it would be more fun I think, although most people do randomly shoot and hope for the best. There are different gamestyles but some people just seem to find it more fun to be lazy n wait for us to come to them. Assholes.
