I need a new Vid card. I have a tight budget thouth and an AGP MoBo. I eventually will need to go to PCix, but for now I want to be able to play new games with this rig, till I can go to a AMD 64 , and it's just stupid to actually invest 200+ bucks in this 7 year old thing. I've readed a little and the thing is I need to have a Shader 3.0 or more to actually play games like F.E.A.R. I've seen in E-Bay good Vid Cards and in a good price range. But have seen in reviews that they state they can run new games but they actually don't. I really don't care playing the game 1024x1280. Just being able to play it. I installed F.E.A.R. and everything went good, until I tried to run it. I got a black screen for maybe 5 secs, and then a window "Your Video Card is not supported by this game, read readme to see compatible cards". I'm refering to FX6200. It says it has Shader 3.0 I've read it just dosen't play new games. I really don't have many info on Ati's But acording to what I've read, only like 200+ dollar one have this shader. I thougt well maybe 100 dollars. OMG look at This one. Man I think I just made my mind. I was looking for a link to a 7800 and found this in NewEgg. Kool... What you guys think... OMG.. OEM original equipment manufacturerIs this good or bad? Cause a 512 for 100 bucks is maybe too good to be true. Mav

Cool Mav, that card has the shader 3.0 that you are looking for. Don't worry about the OEM thing. When computer builders make new PC's, they get parts in bulk (like a case of video cards etc etc) and they are not in individual boxes, but instead packaged in bubble wrap or something similar. They still carry the same warranty as a regular packaged card. Alot of the parts I used to build my rig were OEM. I'd say that's a good find for your current system. Just make sure your power supply is strong enough for it.
